For the Love of the Club

What is the Legacy Fund?

Our Club’s Redevelopment has ignited new heights of success, and the Royal Glenora Club is thriving.

It is at this time of strength, planning for the future is essential and strategic. This is the driving spirit of the recently created Royal Glenora Club Legacy Fund, with the goal to help ensure that our new standard of premier facility excellence continues at this visionary level.

The Legacy Fund is a dedicated capital reserve designed to help secure long-term financial stability that will proactively support future infrastructure enhancements and innovation. Proceeds from the Legacy Fund will not be utilized for fixed operation costs.

The Legacy Fund is intended to be structured for ongoing growth, as a commitment to preserving the character, quality, and community of the RGC for generations to come.

How is the Legacy Fund Created?

As Membership and Board prioritize improving sustainability and resiliency, the new inclusion of fund development and fund raising within RGC will augment the fiscal management toolbox of our non-profit organization. It recognizes that over many years our RGC community is built of Members who are loyal and dedicated to each other, with earnest mutual goodwill fueling our collective path forward.

Why Now?

“If you build it, they will come…” has proven to be true, and very good news for the RGC!

The Club has experienced incredible momentum since our Redevelopment transformation, with outstanding outcomes. Member activity and utilization has increased, new members are joining, and attrition is reduced. Revenue surplus from operations have exceeded projections, special events and facility rentals have gained record bookings, consistently trending over several fiscal quarters.

These positive cashflows have been redeployed through this time to aggressively pay down ahead of schedule the Member Loan used for the Redevelopment project (which supplemented RGC’s long-term bank loan). As of August 2025, the $4.57M Member Loan amount plus interest to lenders, has been completely cleared--before its June 2026 maturity date!

This period of fiscal health offers the opportunity to establish and grow a dedicated capital reserve for our Club’s future--taking steps now, toward our next aspirational project

Generated through RGC Member philanthropy and their “Love of the Club”, voluntary financial gifts comprise the Legacy Fund. It honors past Members who worked hard to establish the RGC over the formative years, supports the dedication of our current Membership, and pays forward to secure the future RGC community. Both the legacy of the RGC, and individual Member legacies are embraced in the process.

Legacy Fund Campaign Activity

After the Board directed the initiation of fund development to explore creation of a dedicated capital reserve fund, a working committee was established in 2023. They sought out individual conversations to gauge Member interest and engage support, and developed processes for stewardship of funds.

By fall 2024, the “first wave” of secured generous Contributors ignited the general Member launch of the Legacy Fund campaign with an impressive start of $321,000 in financial gifts committed. Member participation continues to grow, supplemented with promotion events such as the Legacy Wine Launch (portion of Legacy Wine sales support the Legacy Fund).

More Legacy Fund events will be revealed in upcoming months.
